The Longhirst Hall golfer shot an impressive -10 to finish one shot ahead of home favourite Clara Ding at St. Catharines Golf & Country Club, Canada.
"I am so happy Iโve won the World Junior Girls Championship," said Naughton. "Iโve played really well this week and my putting was the best part of my game as Iโve holed quite a few putts."
Opening with a 70 (-2), the 17-year-old followed with a second round 66 (-6) โ the second lowest score of the week โ to lead at the halfway stage at -8, before adding a 68 (-4) 24 hours later.
Holding a two-shot lead heading into the final day, Naughton stayed poised, holing out from eight feet on the 72nd green to finish with a 74 (+2), closing out a special week that sees her earn exemptions into the LPGAโs CPKC Womenโs Open and the Canadian Womenโs Amateur.
