Junior winter coaching ends with prize giving
2025 trophy winners announced

30 junior golfers were selected for winter coaching this year under the watchful eye of head coach Keith Preston, ably assisted by Sam Forgan and Lawrence Dodd.
Group 1 largely containing under 18 players and Group 2 with under 16 players met on 4 occasions when they played on the golf course and completed various challenges. On Sunday both groups came together for finals challenges in pitching, chipping, bunker play and putting. The players were joined by a large number of supporters (parents, brothers and sisters and grandparents) in the dining room at Aldeburgh GC to find out who had won.
The first prizes awarded were on the day prizes. Group 1 winner was Bailee Taylor followed by Jack Sparrow and Patrick Coffey. Group 2 winner was Ollie Jones followed by Finlay Edwards and Luca Devine-Rushbrook. These points were added to the totals from the previous 4 days giving an over all winner in Group 1 of Johnathan Points and Group 2 Luca Devine-Rushbrook. Both winners had been consistently performing the whole series. Prizes were presented by Keith Preston.
The chair of Suffolk Junior golf went on the recipients of the Nick Reiss and Sam Jaggard trophies who are presented to the player for their contribution to Suffolk junior golf on and off the course. The under 18 winner of the Nick Reiss was Josh Emery and the under 16 winner of the Sam Jaggard was Charlie Hammond. (pictured on the left above)
